Default Fast Casting Question

Just a quick one, did a search but couldn't find a good answer on this.

Fast casting - is it worth putting much into this if im playing PvE, especially if I dont have any of the FC spells?

Im just starting the game again and this is the first time with a mes.

Thanks

At beginning of game I would say just put reminder or your attribute points into Fast Casting. Once you create builds with Fast Casting skills, slow casting spells or signets, then you can start to invest more into Fast Casting.

I would definetely say yes, because FC is your primary attribute. It decreases the casting times of all your mesmer spells, making you able to spam them alot faster and interrupting alot faster. It is one of the reasons why mesmer is so strong.

FC also decreases the recharge of your Mesmer skills, which makes dumping 9 or so points into it always generally worthwhile. The skills themselves are pretty much forgettable, barring a couple of elites.

Consider he's just starting his mesmer,
the posts above are all reasonable once you reach higher levels.
